Growing Community Leaders

Leadership Thurston County (LTC) is dedicated to developing informed, skilled and committed community leaders.

During the 10-month program that runs from September through June, established and emerging leaders from various parts of our community:

  • Gain a broad understanding of issues facing Thurston County and the South Puget Sound region;
  • Build relationships and strengthen community networks;
  • Discover opportunities for involvement in collaborative efforts needed to address current and future challenges; and
  • Enhance leadership skills.

Since the first graduating class in 1994, over 400 participants have completed the program and are making a difference in Thurston County and beyond. Tailored to meet community needs, LTC is an educational program of the Thurston County Chamber Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization.

"Leadership Thurston County is one of the best investments an organization can make for its employees. It provides program participants with leadership tools, an understanding of the key community issues, and the connections to set graduates up for success in making a positive impact on our community."
