The Business Essentials Workshop Series focuses on developing basic business tools and skills that all managers should have as they face this very difficult recession. The workshops delve into four critical areas of concern for growing businesses:
Workshops are presented by Douglas Hammel M.B.A., principal Business Development Specialist with Douglas Hammel & Associates Inc. Mr. Hammel has thirty years of businesses experience, eighteen as a business consultant, and has seen over three thousand clients in his consulting career. Join us the 4th Wednesdays of each month from 7:30-8:30am at the Small Business Incubator offices, located at 809 Legion Way on the 3rd floor of the Business Center in downtown Olympia. The cost is $25/session for Thurston County Chamber Members and $40/session for non-members. The workshop covers how to create a questionnaire, what questions need to be asked, how to ask questions, and how to create an effective marketing plan with the answers. The manager will leave the workshop understanding how market surveys help them profile their target market. February 25: System Redesign defines the process for taking an inefficient system and making it efficient. Most businesses fail to realize their full profit potential due to unaddressed inefficiencies in controlling the flow of people, paper, information, products, and materials. The manager will leave the workshop understanding the process for redesigning inefficient systems. |
